About Katie

Katie Carroll is a facilitator, writer, and improviser who helps people listen better, speak up, and lead with clarity. She is the founder of Leading Offscript, where she designs transformative workshops using the tools of improvisation to build strong teams, bold leaders, and more human workplaces.

Katie's background bridges performance, education, and leadership. She studied improv at New York’s Magnet Theater, earned her degrees in English from Fairfield University and New York University, and completed a leadership course through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). For several years, she taught as a community college English professor, guiding adult learners through the art of effective communication and critical thinking—an experience that deeply shapes her approach to teaching professionals today.

Her workshops have empowered educators, healthcare workers, nonprofit leaders, and corporate teams to build trust, collaborate more effectively, and communicate with confidence. Katie is known for bringing both warmth and structure to her sessions—and helping people rediscover their voice in moments that matter.

She lives in Colorado, with her husband, two kids, and an ever-expanding collection of skis.
